Year 6 Teaching Assistant for Booster Groups in Bradford
Bradford, West Yorkshire
Are you confident with upper primary English and maths, and good at helping a nervous ten year old have a go? Primary schools across Bradford, Keighley and Bingley want Teaching Assistants for Year 6 booster work.
About the Role
Year 6 is a big year. Pupils are getting ready for secondary school, and teachers want every child to leave feeling capable in reading, writing and maths. You will run small catch up groups set by the class teacher, support pupils working independently and encourage the ones who have lost confidence. Some days you will also help with general Year 5 and Year 6 classroom support or transition activities. Work comes in as single days and short runs in areas including Eccleshill, Idle, Keighley and Bingley, so it fits around other commitments. Your consultant will tell you what each booking involves before you say yes, so there are no surprises on the day.
