SEN Recruitment Agency
Specialist SEN teachers, teaching assistants, HLTAs and SENCOs for mainstream and special schools across the North West and Yorkshire.
Special Educational Needs recruitment isn't a side service for us. It's a specialism. GAC Education places SEN trained staff into mainstream provision, resourced units, specialist schools, alternative provision and PRUs across the North West and Yorkshire.
Whether you need a 1:1 TA matched to a child's EHCP, a Team Teach trained behaviour mentor, an experienced ASD class teacher or a permanent SENCO, our consultants understand the difference the right person makes for the children in your care.
We support SEN provision in schools across Liverpool, Wirral, Warrington, Cheshire, Leeds and West Yorkshire, and Bradford.

Frequently asked questions
What types of SEN settings do you recruit for?
We recruit for mainstream schools with SEN provision, resourced units, specialist independent and maintained SEN schools, alternative provision and PRUs. Our consultants understand the difference between ASD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD/SLD, HI/VI and EHCP led roles.
Are your SEN candidates trained and experienced?
Yes. Every SEN candidate is screened for relevant qualifications and hands on experience in the specialism you need. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton, behaviour support, manual handling, intimate care training and more.
Can you supply 1:1 SEN teaching assistants?
Absolutely. 1:1 TAs are one of our most requested roles. We match TAs to a child's specific EHCP needs and the support style your provision uses.
Do you recruit SEN teachers permanently as well as on supply?
Yes. Permanent SEN teachers, leaders, SENCOs and HLTAs as well as long term and day to day supply. We also offer try before you hire on long term assignments.
Which areas do you cover for SEN recruitment?
We supply schools across West Yorkshire, Merseyside and Cheshire.
How do you match a TA to a specific EHCP?
We read the EHCP brief carefully, discuss communication style, sensory needs and behaviour profile with the SENCO or class teacher, then shortlist TAs with matching specialism, training and temperament, not just availability.
Do you supply SEN staff for short notice?
Yes. SEN day to day cover is one of the hardest parts of school staffing. We maintain a vetted pool specifically so we can respond fast without compromising on specialism.
Can you support new SEN provision opening?
Yes. We've supported new resourced units, SEN hub launches and expanding special schools with end to end recruitment from SENCO down to LSA team.
