Teaching Assistant in Wirral (Day Supply)

Wirral primaries and secondaries call when they need dependable classroom support at short notice. We place Teaching Assistants who can travel the peninsula and settle into a class the same morning.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant on day supply with GAC Education you will step into Wirral classrooms where extra hands are needed that morning or that week. Assignments may be whole class support, small groups or one to one help around Birkenhead, Wallasey and Hoylake. You pick the days that suit you and work with a local consultant who knows the area well.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lessons, resources and classroom routines in Wirral schools
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
- Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive participation
- Support break, lunch and transition times when asked
- Share a clear handover with the class teacher at the end of each booking
Requirements
- Proven Teaching Assistant or classroom support experience
- Enhanced DBS, ideally registered on the Update Service
- Reliable travel across Birkenhead, Wallasey and Hoylake and wider Wirral by bus, train or car
- Calm communication and a team first attitude
- Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
- £80 to £100 per day based on setting and experience
