About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant on day supply with GAC Education you will step into Chester classrooms where extra hands are needed that morning or that week. Assignments may be whole class support, small groups or one to one help around Handbridge, Boughton and Blacon. You pick the days that suit you and work with a local consultant who knows the area well.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lessons, resources and classroom routines in Chester schools
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
- Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive participation
- Support break, lunch and transition times when asked
- Share a clear handover with the class teacher at the end of each booking
Requirements
- Proven Teaching Assistant or classroom support experience
- Enhanced DBS, ideally registered on the Update Service
- Reliable travel across Handbridge, Boughton and Blacon and wider Chester by bus, train or car
- Calm communication and a team first attitude
- Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
- £80 to £100 per day based on setting and experience
