Liverpool secondaries often need a STEM specialist for a day or a short block when a science, maths or design technology teacher is absent. We keep a pool of QTS teachers ready to step in, deliver set work or teach from their own subject knowledge across the east and south of the city.

About the Role

As a STEM Teacher on day to day supply you choose the days you work and cover KS3 to KS4 Science, Maths or Technology lessons. Some bookings are single days; others grow into a short sequence. You deal with a Merseyside consultant who understands Hunts Cross, Knotty Ash and Stoneycroft schools and the wider Liverpool secondary market.

Key Responsibilities

Cover Science, Maths or Technology lessons using set work or your own planning
Keep labs and workshops safe, following school risk assessments
Manage behaviour so practical and theory lessons stay productive
Mark or collect work as requested by the department
Arrive ready for a full timetable and adapt quickly between year groups

Requirements

QTS with a STEM subject specialism (Science, Maths, DT or related)
Confident classroom management in secondary settings
Enhanced DBS, Update Service preferred
Able to reach Hunts Cross, Knotty Ash, Stoneycroft and other Liverpool secondaries
Right to work in the UK
