STEM Teacher in Liverpool (Day Supply)

Liverpool secondaries often need a STEM specialist for a day or a short block when a science, maths or design technology teacher is absent. We keep a pool of QTS teachers ready to step in, deliver set work or teach from their own subject knowledge across the east and south of the city.

About the Role

As a STEM Teacher on day to day supply you choose the days you work and cover KS3 to KS4 Science, Maths or Technology lessons. Some bookings are single days; others grow into a short sequence. You deal with a Merseyside consultant who understands Hunts Cross, Knotty Ash and Stoneycroft schools and the wider Liverpool secondary market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cover Science, Maths or Technology lessons using set work or your own planning
  • Keep labs and workshops safe, following school risk assessments
  • Manage behaviour so practical and theory lessons stay productive
  • Mark or collect work as requested by the department
  • Arrive ready for a full timetable and adapt quickly between year groups

Requirements

  • QTS with a STEM subject specialism (Science, Maths, DT or related)
  • Confident classroom management in secondary settings
  • Enhanced DBS, Update Service preferred
  • Able to reach Hunts Cross, Knotty Ash, Stoneycroft and other Liverpool secondaries
  • Right to work in the UK
