About the Role
Supply TAs who can respond quickly help the school day go ahead as planned. You will support class teachers with groups and individual pupils, help keep pupils on task and lend a hand at playtimes, lunchtimes and transitions. Every school does things a little differently, so you will follow their routines and safeguarding procedures closely. Before you leave, a short summary of the day helps the class teacher pick up. Bookings are offered as schools contact us, often early in the morning, across Birchwood, Orford, Stockton Heath and Latchford. You keep control of which days you are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with groups and individual pupils in class
- Help keep pupils on task during lessons
- Supervise playtimes, lunchtimes and transitions
- Follow each school's routines and safeguarding procedures
- Leave a short summary of the day
Requirements
- Primary Teaching Assistant experience
- Available early, with reliable transport
- Quick to settle into new settings
- Comfortable across the primary age range
- All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check, references and right to work checks.
