About the Role
Teacher absence rarely gives much warning. Many of these bookings are confirmed early in the morning, so being available and having good transport links really matters. You will collect the cover work on arrival, meet classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 and deliver the set lessons using the school's behaviour systems from the first minute. At the end of each lesson, you gather work and leave notes for the department. Duties at break or lunch may be part of the day. Work covers Liverpool and neighbouring parts of Sefton and Knowsley. If you like a fast start and a varied week, this is a good fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect cover work promptly on arrival
- Deliver set lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes
- Use the behaviour system from the first minute
- Leave notes and collected work for departments
- Help with duties when requested
Requirements
- Cover Supervisor or secondary support experience
- Early morning availability and reliable transport
- A calm and assertive presence
- Quick to read a new school's systems
- All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check, references and right to work checks.
