SEN Teaching Assistant in Wirral (Day Supply)

Wirral schools from the east of the peninsula to the west coast need SEN TAs who understand EHCPs and calm inclusive practice. Our Merseyside desk fills day to day and short notice SEN cover every week of term.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant on our Wirral books you will support classroom teachers and SENCOs when schools need cover at short notice. Work ranges from mainstream one to one support to resource base and specialist provision around Birkenhead, Wallasey and Hoylake. You earn a competitive daily rate, choose flexible days, and deal with a consultant who knows Merseyside schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Wirral pupils with SEND under teacher or SENCO direction
- Put EHCP and IEP strategies into practice in the classroom
- Help with transitions, sensory breaks and positive behaviour approaches
- Keep brief session notes for a clean handover
- Travel between Birkenhead, Wallasey and Hoylake and wider Wirral sites as bookings require
Requirements
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD, SEMH, ADHD or similar)
- Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service
- Able to reach Wirral schools by public transport or car
- Clear spoken English and confident teamwork
- Right to work in the UK
