SEN Teaching Assistant in Chester (Day Supply)

From city centre primaries to Cheshire West specialist bases, Chester settings rely on SEN TAs who understand EHCPs and inclusive practice. Our Merseyside desk books day supply and short notice cover across the Chester area every week of term.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant on our Chester books you will support classroom teachers and SENCOs when schools need cover at short notice. Work ranges from mainstream one to one support to resource base and specialist provision around Handbridge, Boughton and Blacon. You earn a competitive daily rate, choose flexible days, and deal with a consultant who knows Cheshire West schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Chester pupils with SEND under teacher or SENCO direction
- Put EHCP and IEP strategies into practice in the classroom
- Help with transitions, sensory breaks and positive behaviour approaches
- Keep brief session notes for a clean handover
- Travel between Handbridge, Boughton and Blacon and wider Chester sites as bookings require
Requirements
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD, SEMH, ADHD or similar)
- Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service
- Able to reach Chester schools by public transport or car
- Clear spoken English and confident teamwork
- Right to work in the UK
