SEN Teacher, Liverpool

Liverpool, Merseyside

Are you a teacher who measures success in small steps and knows just how big those steps can be? GAC Education is recruiting SEN Teachers for specialist schools, resourced provision and SEN classes across Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area, on long term and day to day supply.

About the Role

You will teach small classes of pupils whose needs may include autism, moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties, speech and language needs and SEMH. Your planning starts with the child: their EHCP outcomes, how they communicate and what helps them feel ready to learn. You will lead a team of teaching assistants, making sure everyone in the room knows the routines and strategies for each pupil. You will track progress in small, meaningful steps and keep families, therapists and other professionals in the loop. Experienced special school teachers are very welcome, and so are mainstream teachers with strong SEN experience who would like to specialise. Before you accept a role, we will tell you about the age range, the size of the class and the main needs, so you know exactly what to expect. Email your CV to office@gac.education with "SEN Teacher, Liverpool" in the subject line, or call our Merseyside and Cheshire desk on 0151 404 9965 for an informal chat first. You can see our other SEN and teaching roles in the area on our [Liverpool page](/locations/liverpool).
