SEN Teacher in Liverpool (Long-term Supply)

Specialist provisions in Liverpool need teachers who understand EHCPs, multi agency working and highly personalised learning. We recruit SEN Teachers for sustained cover so pupils with complex needs keep skilled, consistent teaching.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher on long-term supply you will lead a class or group within a specialist or resourced provision, adapt curriculum pathways, and work closely with therapists, TAs and families. Placements typically sit in or near Kirkdale, Edge Hill and Sefton Park rather than mainstream day hopping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach differentiated lessons matched to EHCP outcomes
  • Lead a class team of TAs and model outstanding SEND practice
  • Use positive behaviour support and sensory strategies as needed
  • Contribute to annual reviews and multi agency meetings
  • Maintain safeguarding vigilance and accurate pupil records

Requirements

  • QTS with experience teaching pupils with SEND (ASC, SLD, SEMH or similar)
  • Understanding of EHCPs and person centred planning
  • Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check
  • Able to commit to a long-term Liverpool specialist placement
  • Right to work in the UK
