SEN HLTA for Resourced Provision in Huddersfield
Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Can you keep a room calm, adapt the plan on the spot and still get through the learning? Resourced provision across Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees area needs HLTAs with strong SEN experience.
About the Role
Resource bases bring together pupils with very different needs, often autism, speech, language and communication needs or learning difficulties. As an HLTA, you will run small group sessions from the teacher's plans and cover the base teacher's classes during planned absence. You will also help pupils join mainstream lessons when their plans allow, and share observations that feed into EHCP reviews. This is skilled work, and schools want someone who can stay for the long term so pupils have stability. Work covers Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley and nearby towns. If you are an experienced SEN TA already working at HLTA level, we would like to hear from you.
