SEMH Behaviour Support Worker for Specialist Settings in Liverpool
Liverpool, Merseyside
Are you someone who stays steady when a young person pushes you away? SEMH schools and specialist settings across Liverpool and Knowsley need Behaviour Support Workers who do not give up.
About the Role
Many pupils in SEMH settings have seen a lot of adults come and go. Staff who stay consistent, repair relationships after hard days and keep expectations clear can change the way those pupils see school. You will support primary or secondary aged pupils in small classes, working as part of a team that uses trauma informed and restorative approaches. Behaviour support and risk management plans guide your day, and positive handling is used only as trained and in line with policy. Accurate records are essential. Bookings are long term in areas such as Everton, Speke, Kirkby and Huyton. Experience from residential care or alternative provision transfers well.
