Secondary Teaching Assistant, Flexible Days in Liverpool
Liverpool, Merseyside
Do you know when to step in and when to let a teenager get on with it? Secondary schools across Liverpool and neighbouring parts of Merseyside need Teaching Assistants with that instinct.
About the Role
Secondary learning support is a different job from primary. Teenagers want to be treated with respect, and the best support is often quiet and well timed. You will work in mainstream lessons across subjects, helping pupils organise their work, stay on task and access the lesson. Many of the pupils you support will have additional needs, so reading questions aloud or scribing answers may be part of the day. You will keep the class teacher informed of any concerns. Bookings come in day to day as schools need support, in areas such as Walton, Anfield, Wavertree, Allerton and Garston. You choose your days, and your consultant keeps you updated.
