Secondary Maths Teacher

Are you a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher looking for flexibility, variety and great daily rates? We are working with a number of secondary schools and academies across Preston and the wider Lancashire area that regularly need confident Maths teachers for both day-to-day and longer-term cover.
About the Role
You will deliver Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with A-Level available for those who want it), following the host school's schemes of work. Days range from one-off cover to multi-week placements where you take on full planning and assessment responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
- Follow the host school's schemes of work and assessment policies.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour using the school's behaviour policy.
- Mark and provide feedback on pupil work in line with school expectations.
- Communicate professionally with department staff and senior leaders.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths specialism (or strong second subject).
- Recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.
- Confident with GCSE Maths (Higher and Foundation); A-Level desirable.
- Strong behaviour management in a mainstream setting.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
