Secondary HLTA for Lesson Cover and Interventions in Hull

Hull, East Yorkshire

Could you cover a Year 8 science lesson before break and run a Year 7 reading group after it? Secondary schools across Hull and the East Riding are looking for HLTAs who can switch between the two easily.

About the Role

This is a role with two halves. Part of your week is planned lesson cover for absent staff across a range of subjects. The rest is intervention work, usually in literacy or numeracy, for Key Stage 3 pupils who need to catch up. You may also support pupils with SEND in mainstream lessons and help with exam access arrangements when asked. Schools usually want the same person for a long term booking so pupils and staff know who to expect. Work covers Hull and nearby towns such as Hessle and Cottingham. If you enjoy secondary pupils and like seeing measurable progress, this could suit you well.
