Primary Behaviour Support Worker on the Wirral

Wirral, Merseyside

Can you spot the moment a child's morning is starting to unravel, and step in before it does? Primary schools across the Wirral are looking for Behaviour Support Workers who give children structure, warmth and clear boundaries.

About the Role

Primary aged children who struggle with behaviour usually need two things: a predictable day and an adult who notices early. That early support can stop small problems becoming big ones. You will work one to one or with small groups of children who have social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them recognise strong feelings and find better ways to handle them. Calm routines and consistent expectations are at the heart of it. Playtimes and transitions are often the trickiest parts of the day, so you will be there for those too. You will record incidents and share what works with staff. Bookings are long term, in schools across Birkenhead, Moreton, Leasowe and Bromborough, with the aim of keeping each child learning in class.
