Key Stage 2 Teacher in Leeds (Long-term Supply)

When a Year 3 to Year 6 teacher is away for maternity leave, illness or a vacancy, Leeds schools want someone who can take the class properly. We place KS2 teachers who plan, assess and build relationships for a half term or more.
About the Role
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher on long-term supply you will own a class timetable, deliver the full primary curriculum and work with the phase team on progress and behaviour. You are treated as part of the staff room, not a revolving door of day cover, with placements focused around Roundhay, Alwoodley and Moortown.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging KS2 lessons across the core and foundation subjects
- Assess pupil progress and feed into school tracking systems
- Maintain a positive, well organised classroom climate
- Work with TAs, SENCOs and parents as the class teacher would
- Follow school safeguarding, marking and behaviour policies
Requirements
- QTS with recent Key Stage 2 classroom experience
- Strong behaviour management and curriculum knowledge
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
- Commitment to a long-term Leeds placement
- Right to work in the UK
