Key Stage 1 Teacher in Chester (Long-term Supply)

Chester primaries need KS1 teachers who can run phonics, early writing and number with confidence. We arrange long-term supply so younger pupils keep the same class teacher through the block.
About the Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teacher on long-term supply you will plan and teach Year 1 or Year 2, work with TAs on phonics groups, and keep assessment up to date. Placements sit around Handbridge, Boughton and Blacon, with day to day support from our Merseyside desk rather than a distant call centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging KS1 lessons including phonics and early maths
- Assess reading, writing and maths progress against school systems
- Create a nurturing, well structured classroom for younger pupils
- Liaise with parents, TAs and the wider phase team
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
- QTS with recent Key Stage 1 or early primary experience
- Strong phonics knowledge and classroom organisation
- Enhanced DBS, Update Service preferred
- Ready to commit to a long-term Chester class teacher booking
- Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
- £150 to £185 per day depending on experience and school
