HLTA for Secondary SEN Support on the Wirral
Wirral, Merseyside
Can you run a small SEN group in the morning and cover a Year 9 lesson after lunch? Secondary schools across the Wirral need HLTAs who are comfortable doing both.
About the Role
When staff are stretched, an HLTA with SEN experience keeps a lot running. You will run small groups for pupils with SEND and literacy gaps, cover planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and support pupils with EHCPs in mainstream lessons. You may also help with access arrangements and assessments. Progress is recorded and reported to the SENCO, and you will work closely with heads of year too. Bookings are long term, in schools across Prenton, Rock Ferry, Leasowe and Wallasey. If you have HLTA status, or already work at that level in secondary, this is a chance to use the full range of your skills.
