HLTA for PPA and Planned Class Cover in Leeds
Leeds, West Yorkshire
Do you hold HLTA status, or already teach whole classes at that level, and want a settled week? Primary schools across Leeds and the surrounding area need HLTAs to take classes while teachers plan, assess and lead.
About the Role
Teachers only get their planning time if someone capable can take the class. That is where you come in. You will deliver lessons the teacher has already planned, keep routines and behaviour in line with the school's own approach, and leave notes that make it easy for the teacher to pick up again. Bookings are usually set days each week, so pupils get to know you and you get to know them. On days when no cover is needed, you may run interventions or support groups instead. Requests come from all over the city, from Headingley and Kirkstall out to Garforth and Wetherby. Let us know how far you are happy to travel and which year groups you enjoy most.
