Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Liverpool (Long-term Supply)

Many Liverpool primaries need an experienced HLTA who can hold PPA cover, lead interventions and keep classes moving when teachers are out. We match candidates who already deliver at that level with schools wanting continuity for a half term or longer.
About the Role
In this long-term HLTA supply role you will take greater ownership than a standard TA. Expect planned cover, small group literacy or maths boosts, and close work with phase leaders. You stay with one Liverpool setting for a meaningful block of time rather than bouncing between day bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPA and short term class cover under agreed school plans
- Lead targeted intervention groups for literacy, numeracy or phonics
- Model inclusive practice and support colleagues with classroom routines
- Contribute to planning meetings and pupil progress discussions
- Maintain professional records so cover and interventions hand over smoothly
Requirements
- HLTA status or equivalent senior TA experience with cover responsibility
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
- Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check (Update Service preferred)
- Able to commit to a long-term Liverpool booking across Walton, Childwall or Gateacre
- Right to work in the UK
