Graduate Cover Supervisor in Bradford Secondary Schools
Bradford, West Yorkshire
Have you just finished a degree and wondered whether the classroom might be for you? Cover Supervisor work in secondary schools across Bradford, Shipley and Keighley is a practical way to find out.
About the Role
Plenty of people who now teach started out as Cover Supervisors. You will take classes when teachers are absent, deliver the work they have set and keep the lesson on track using the school's behaviour systems. You will not be teaching new content, but you will be explaining tasks, helping pupils who are stuck and making sure work gets done. Many schools prefer someone who can stay for a long term booking, so classes see a familiar face and you get to know departments properly. Graduates and career changers are both welcome, as long as you have some experience with young people. Your consultant will talk through the options with you and help you decide what suits.
