About the Role
No two days look the same in cover. You will supervise classes, deliver the work teachers have set and keep a calm, purposeful atmosphere while staff are away. From the first minute, you follow seating plans and behaviour systems so pupils know what to expect. At the end of the lesson you collect the work and leave a clear summary. You may also pick up corridor or break duties. Work tends to come through the day before or first thing, across Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Mirfield and Kirkburton. You fit the work around your week, and your consultant keeps you posted on what is coming in.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Experience as a Cover Supervisor or with teenagers
- Confidence managing a full class
- Able to travel around Kirklees
- Available for early calls
- All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check, references and right to work checks.
