Secondary schools in Chester want Cover Supervisors who can take a class, follow set work and hold behaviour calmly. We fill longer bookings so pupils see the same reliable adult through the cover block.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor on long-term supply you will supervise classes across the timetable, distribute set work, and keep learning purposeful while the subject teacher is away. You become a familiar face in the staff room at schools serving Huntington, Newton and Lache, with guidance from our Merseyside desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise lessons using set work provided by absent teachers
- Maintain orderly classrooms and follow the school behaviour policy
- Register classes, collect work and report any safeguarding concerns promptly
- Support form time, assemblies and duties as the school asks
- Build calm, respectful relationships with pupils across year groups
Requirements
- Experience supervising secondary classes or strong classroom support background
- Confident behaviour management and clear communication
- Enhanced DBS, Update Service preferred
- Commitment to a long-term booking in Chester secondaries
- Right to work in the UK
What We Offer
- £100 to £130 per day depending on experience and school
