About the Role
Covering in a specialist school means smaller groups but bigger adjustments. Pupils often rely on predictable routines, so the right Cover Supervisor keeps everything steady. You will deliver planned lessons and activities, working closely with the class TAs who know each pupil's plan. Visual timetables, agreed behaviour strategies and communication approaches all need to stay consistent while the teacher is away. You will record what pupils have done and flag any concerns. Bookings are long term, across Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston. Experience in SEN schools or with pupils with additional needs is important. Cover or teaching experience is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Experience in SEN schools or with additional needs
- Calm, flexible and observant
- Cover or teaching experience is helpful
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check, references and right to work checks.
