Cover Supervisor for Aspiring Teachers in Wakefield and Pontefract
Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Are you thinking about teaching but want to know first whether you can hold a class of teenagers? Cover supervision in secondary schools across Wakefield and Pontefract answers that question quickly.
About the Role
Many people want real classroom experience before committing to a career in teaching. As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver lessons set by teachers across a range of subjects, manage behaviour with the school's routines and rewards, and help pupils with their work without teaching new material. You will record attendance and completed work, and see how departments and pastoral teams operate from the inside. Many bookings are long term, so you get to know staff and pupils properly. Work covers Wakefield, Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley. A degree is useful but not essential if you have experience with young people.
