Behaviour Support Worker in Leeds (Long-term Supply)

Behaviour Support Workers help Leeds schools prevent exclusion, restore relationships and give pupils a fresh start in class. We place people who understand trauma informed approaches and can stay the course on a longer assignment rather than a single day.
About the Role
On this long-term supply brief you will work alongside pastoral teams and teachers to support pupils who struggle with regulation, friendships or classroom expectations. Days may include mentoring, check ins, in class support and restorative conversations across Pudsey, Bramley and Chapel Allerton settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one to one and small group behaviour mentoring for Leeds pupils
- Use agreed de escalation and restorative approaches
- Support reintegration after fixed term exclusion or internal isolation
- Record incidents and wins clearly for pastoral leads
- Promote positive routines at lesson changeover and unstructured times
Requirements
- Experience in behaviour support, SEMH, mentoring or pastoral work
- Patience, resilience and a non judgemental manner
- Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check
- Able to travel to Pudsey, Bramley, Chapel Allerton and nearby Leeds sites
- Right to work in the UK
