Behaviour Mentor and Support Worker in Chester Secondary Schools
Chester, Cheshire
Are you the person who listens first and reacts second? Secondary schools across Chester need behaviour mentors and support workers for teenagers at risk of exclusion.
About the Role
A teenager close to exclusion often needs one adult in school who will hear them out. You could be that person. You will mentor pupils one to one, support them in lessons and around the site, and help them set and review behaviour targets. After incidents, restorative conversations help pupils understand what happened and how to put it right. You will record progress and share it with pastoral leads, so the school can see what is working. Bookings are long term, in areas including Blacon, Lache, Vicars Cross and Great Boughton. Strong listening skills and a calm manner under pressure are essential.
